End of an Era

It is time to say farewell to all our lovely clients.

We are no longer taking bookings for machine quilting as the quilting machine has been sold.

It was a hard decision to make, but it was time to acknowledge that I could not continue to juggle the three parts of the business.

Several years ago I found that I was struggling to find the time to quilt for other people and was pleased when one of our employees expressed an interest in taking on that task.  This meant that we have been  “job sharing” for the past two years but I was finding it more and more difficult to do my share.

So earlier this year I started thinking about what needed to be done to solve the problem.  At the same time Judy, my quilting partner, found that she was about to relocate to another state when her husband changed jobs.

This made the decision to cease quilting for other people inevitable, so we ceased taking bookings in June and quilted the last quilts in August.

The good news is that the machine has gone to a good home and the new owner, Denise, will be a quilter worth following.
